Marcus Levy

At the age of 4, on the streets of Paris, he charmed and moved passersby with his young voice, singing alongside his father and mother in their family trio. Thus began his musical journey, captivating audiences across Europe and North America in the years to come.

Bordeaux
At the age of 18, in Denmark, he formed his own jazz band, the Mr. Fine ensemble, the success of which earned him a scholarship to the CIAM in Bordeaux, where he perfected his mastery of contemporary music styles such as blues, rock, and funk, under the aegis of James Brown, the world’s great master of the genre.

The States
Marcus set off to put his art to the test in the United States, where his talents were confirmed and widely acclaimed at several major jazz festivals. He wrote and recorded his own songs, many of which have achieved international success, and has performed globally at the St. Barth Family Festival on the island of St. Barthélémy, at Burning Man, a giant festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, in New Orleans and as lead singer-guitarist with New York’s Lost Wandering Blues Jazz Band.

Cinema and Television
The echoes of his success on the other side of the Atlantic reached France, where they established a wide audience of fans of his art. His songs contributed to the soundtracks of films such as Dernière Danse, Mergault Aurélien, Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez and Une femme à part. They serve as theme songs for TV movies and series such as Tango and Joséphine ange gardien, La nouvelle Star, C’est Canteloup and other shows. He is now also writing for Warner Brothers.
